Derek is Chaplins of Subaru’s internet sales manager who has with years of experience selling cas to satisfied customers. As a Northwest native, Derek believes that a honest, low key approach has always been the best philosophy for success. Derek applies a full disclosure policy that informs customers upfront of their trade-in value, bottom line pricing, and monthly payments without forcing a “Buy it now” commitment like most dealerships. In fact, Derek offers the option of a solo test drive that lets internet customers test drive the car of their choice without a salesperson hanging over their shoulder.

Outside of work, Derek is an avid runner, hiker and enjoys restoring vintage cars. Derek has worked on numerous classic Volkswagons, BMWs, Porsches and even an Austin Healy. He even had his 15 minutes of fame a number of years ago, when a security camera caught his 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB spontaneously catching on fire at a Sammamish gas station – an accident Derek barely escaped. Derek has lived in Bellevue for over three decades and has been selling cars for over 14 years.
